We have today returned from a trip from Adelaide to Melbourne, including the Great Ocean Road, in a 2 berth Apollo Eurocamper. The scenery lived up to our expectations but the camper certainly did not. We had endless problems with our very old, badly maintained and dirty camper. Shame on you Apollo. Our companions had a much better, more modern camper for exactly the same price, however, even their shower leaked!!

Issues included engine problems (warning lights), which we were told to ignore, unless we had performance issues, the second battery wouldn’t hold a charge, so was useless, the Thetford toilet was smelly, despite our efforts to clean it…, the passenger window switch was defective, all the fittings were old tired and tatty, including very grubby off white towels.
I would advise anyone hiring an Apollo camper to check everything very carefully before leaving the base.

We were grudgingly given a small refund, but it doesn’t really make up for the disappointment.

We own our own camper in the UK so are experienced motor campers and have hired in the USA, NZ and Europe… so do know what we are talking about….
